Design of water supply treatment process for rural areas

Every aspect of life requires water. Safe drinking water is a basic human right and a prerequisite for improving global living conditions. A clean water supply is the bedrock of a strong economy, but it is woefully devalued globally. Nearly 1.5 million children die each year from water-related diseases around the world. The health of the inhabitants in rural areas has always been low and suppressed. A proper water supply tends to improve people's quality of life by increasing their usage of clean drinking water, reducing the prevalence of water-borne diseases, and increasing their productivity. A design of the water supply treatment process will prove to be beneficial for people in rural regions with careful planning, economic and financial evaluations along with effective design, operation, storage, and distribution facilities provided.

Cold mix technology using granite waste and rubber waste in road construction

Hot Mix Asphalt is used as a paving mix for many decades in road construction. In India, 90 percent of roads are constructed by bituminous pavements only. Certain Imitations associated with hot mix asphalt using are Re emission of greenhouse gases from hot mix plant, that down of plants during the rainy season, problems in maintaining the paving temperature when hauling stances are more, There for to overcome the disadvantages of hot mix asphalt there is an increasing trend for using cold mix design with bitumen emulsion all over the world because of several advantages such as elimination of heating of hinder and aggregate while producing mixes, this helps in protection of the environment and energy conservation.

Improving the accuracy of Neural Networks through Ensemble Techniques

Neural networks usually suffer from model performance problems due to high variance. Ensemble techniques refer to the method of combining multiple models resulting in improving the overall performance of the model. The overall performance can be improved by combining the predictions from multiple models having a good accuracy instead of highly tuning the models, to reduce the variance of predictions and reduce the error due to generalization. In this paper, the different types of ensemble techniques such as stacking ensemble, horizontal voting, and weight average ensemble are being discussed which can be used to improve the model accuracy. The numerous disadvantages of hyperparameter tuning like the wrong choice of parameters, overfitting, and other inefficient optimizing strategies can be overcome using ensemble techniques. The ensemble techniques have numerous advantages such as improving the model performances, reduction of model variance, and so on. Accuracy is improved because results are obtained using the mean predictions of the number of sub-models and the performance is improved with the learning weights of each of the models.

Study on thermal conductivity of fiber-reinforced light weight concrete using natural fibers

Lightweight concrete has lower thermal conductivity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion. This project aims to develop Eco-friendly thermally insulated lightweight concrete by using fibers. Hemp and sisal are natural fibers that play a major role in the reduction of thermal conductivity. Vermiculite is a naturally available material that can be used for lightweight concrete furthermore provides good thermal insulation. Reducing the thermal conductivity by adding fibers in different proportions (1%,1.5%,2%) in concrete where Vermiculite is partially replaced with fine aggregate and Fly ash is partially replaced with cement in which shows a reduction in thermal conductivity and also it can be used for lightweight concrete. The thermal conductivity of the concrete is tested for different mix proportions. Then the mechanical property and durability of the concrete are tested for different proportions. The thermal conductivity of the fiber-reinforced lightweight concrete is tested and the results show that when the amount of fiber increased the thermal conductivity is low. Thus, the low thermal conductivity is obtained by natural fibers. The mechanical strength of the different proportions of mixes are carried out and results show that the increase in fiber reduces the strength. The plate and wall panel are analyzed in Abaqus for the control mix and low thermal conductivity fiber-reinforced lightweight concrete mix which gives the minimum thermal conductivity and appropriate strength. The results from these experiments are found out that the natural fibers and vermiculite can be a good solution for thermally insulated Eco-friendly building construction

Implementation of IoT based smart village for rural development

Villages are considered the heart of our nation India and the economic growth of villages along with cities is as important to us. Hence, for the development to percolate to the grass-root level, the focus must be devoted to the progress of the village. Enabling the concept of IoT (Internet of things) for increasing the possibilities of agriculture growth and productivity, sanitation and well maintenance of drainage which concerned cattle health and human health would lead to the growth of farmers for their smart lifestyle. Therefore, farmers need appropriate facilities and guidance in making their village smart, so this paper IoT implementation proposed for farmers where various data is collected regarding the weather, moist content in soil, blockage and clearance drainage along with harmful gases and dairy products where this information is delivered. This system through raspbian OS, taking input from sensors like IR, UV, LDR. The data is analyzed by collective information and auto-mechanism of some instruments which are connected to reach the target are initiated along sending appropriate messages through GSM to their phones, where Wi-Fi is by default feature included raspberry pi board as no internet connection is required again for communication.
