A Study to Investigate the security issues in IMD

With the ever-growing rise in smart devices and their applications in most sectors, there is a need for security as the information is transmitted using a wireless medium of transmission. One of the most profound health care devices is the implantable medical devices used for monitoring and control of vital organs such as neural systems, heart, and cochlear implants. Although IMDs provide quick and cost-effective diagnostic features to the patients there exist some design constraints and software threats that need attention. There is a chance of leakage of confidential data pertaining to the person with IMD by attackers, thereby manipulating the parameters of the devices causing the patient’s life to be at high risk. In our paper, the different types of IMDs and their constraints are addressed. As the emphasis is on the security aspects of these devices, their requirements, the attack vectors, the type of attacks encountered, and the protection mechanisms implemented to date are also discussed.

Highway navigation system using light fidelity technology

This study shows how Li-Fi technology can be used to create a smart highway navigation system. Light fidelity technology is a type of visible light communication that employs light as a medium to transmit high-speed data at a rate far faster than Wi-Fi. Here, the proposed prototype is tested using PROTEUS 8 professional software to see what potential there is for employing LiFi in highway routing. Atmega328 is used in the transmitter and receiver portions, and it is programmed using the Arduino IDE. The transmitter component uses high-intensity LEDs to convey high-speed data to moving cars. The LDR module is also utilized in the receiver section to detect the signal generated by the LEDs. On the receiver's LCD, information about the current location and future diversions is presented based on the received signal. As a result, this technology is better suited to automatic navigation on motorways and wide roads.

Face mask detection system

Face masks have become an increasingly important part of the human lifestyle. Ever since the pandemic began, people have been encouraged to wear face masks to curb the spread of Covid-19. The aim of this project is to replicate on a computer what human beings are able to do so effortlessly - detect the presence of faces in their field of vision. This project aims at using a camera placed in different places around the area, to capture images and detect the presence of a facemask in real-time. The proposed Face Detection System is an application that automates the detection of frontal human faces in a given image. The existence of a mask is indicated by a green square around the person’s face along with the percentage of accuracy of the positioning of the mask. The absence of the mask, however, is indicated by a red square around the person’s face, and its related percentage is also displayed to be accurately used for detecting whether a person is wearing a mask properly or not.

Management of immature nonvital tooth with single-step apexification with MTA: A case report

Apexification is a procedure for the closure of the open apex in an immature necrotic tooth. Apexification with calcium hydroxide is considered the gold standard. However, this technique is associated with certain difficulties such as multiple visits, the possibility of tooth fracture, and incomplete calcification of the bridge, poor quality bridge. Single-visit mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) apexification has become popular over the calcium hydroxide technique. In this article, a case report, which was treated by the single visit apexification procedure with MTA as the apical plug and the rest of the canal was obturated with thermoplastisized gutta-percha technique

Sign Language recognition system using Convolutional Neural Networks

Communication is key to share and express ideas and thoughts. And not every person has the natural ability to communicate. Mute people communicate with each other and with rest of the people through sign language. Sign language is the way of communication using gestures with hands where each gesture corresponds to particular letter in an alphabet or a word. But to use this every person must have the knowledge of it. But in the real world, it is not the case. With the advancement in the field of deep learning it is possible to solve this problem with low cost. So, this project aims at making it easier for mute people to communicate to the rest of the world. In this project, image of the hand gesture made by the person is captured and is translated to its corresponding meaning in the American sign language system. Equipment such as hand gloves sensor is one of the methods used for sign language detection. But it is expensive and not all of the people in need of it would be able to afford it. A deep learning algorithm called convolutional neural network is used for identifying the gestures and giving the actual letter or word.

Design waste water treatment plant for township

Wastewater treatment is a process used to remove contaminants from wastewater or sewage and convert it into effluent that can be returned to the water cycle with acceptable impact on the environment, or reused for various purposes (called water reclamation). The treatment process takes place in a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), also referred to as a Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) or a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the case of domestic wastewater. Pollutants in wastewater are removed, converted, or broken down during the treatment process. Wastewater is any water that has been contaminated by human use. The wastewater is then used water from any combination of domestic, industrial, commercial, or agricultural activities, surface runoff, or stormwater We planning a residential township for 10, 000 populations. In this township, we design a small wastewater treatment plant. In this treatment plant, we design to treat domestic wastewater. In the wastewater treatment plant, we design units of the wastewater treatment plants.
