Effect of mesh parameters on spring damper assembly

Finite Element Analysis is a method to predict how a model will react to real-world forces and other physical effects. It shows whether the product will break, wear out or work the way it was designed. The spring damper assembly is a part of the suspension system which is cylindrical in shape. The spring permits the wheels to rise up to absorb jolts in the road. While dampers avert bouncing of the vehicle. This reduces the jolting of the vehicle various mechanical links keep the wheel in line. The spring damper assembly is modeled in CREO and analyzed in ANSYS. Results of ANSYS shows how different meshing method can affect the final results which include stress, strain, and deformation

Management of Haemangioma with Ksharasutra- A case study

A Haemangioma is a developmental malformation of blood vessels and not a typical tumor. So it is considered to be an example of ‘Hemartoma’. Such theory can be explained by the fact that 1)Haemangioma is often present since birth and 2)it never turns malignant. In Ayurveda Haemangioma can be compared with rakija granthi. The diagnosis is based on clinical examination and usually straightforward by visual inspection. The treatment of Haemangioma has to be done with endurance and careful selection of procedure according to the type and size of the disease; otherwise, it may lead to cosmetic derangement or recurrence of the ailment. Indications for treatment include pain, interference with function, cosmetic embarrassment. Regarding the management of this disease, different types of treatment procedures are explained in contemporary science. In Ayurveda also, various treatment principles explained like the administration of drugs internally, external application of drugs, and para surgical procedures [i.e. Raktamokshana (bloodletting), Ksharakarma (chemical cauterization), Ksharasutra (medicated thread ligation), and Agnikarma (thermal cauterization)]. These indigenous treatment methods are minimally invasive procedures that do not cause scar formation, no recurrence, and found to be more beneficial in the treatment of Haemangioma. .this case study will reveal the management of haemangioma through Maharashtra along with internal medications. A female patient of age 24 years complained of small swelling on the left breast. . Patient was the diagnosed case of haemangioma. After required investigations and local examination of swelling, the patient was planned and treated( Ksharasutra, Jatyadi tail) Ayurvedic formulations as described in texts of Ayurveda.

Impact of mesh size on UV joint and flange coupling in static structural analysis

The finite element analysis, mesh size plays a very important role in determining the accuracy of the result. This paper gives an idea about the effect of mesh size on the result. On the basis of the results obtained one can get an idea regarding, choosing the appropriate mesh size during analysis. Static analysis is performed in Ansys software. The models under consideration are UV joint and Flange coupling assembly (both separate) which are made in Solidworks

Comparative evaluation of quantification of gastroretentive drugs through ultraviolet spectrophotometer and high-performance liquid chromatography

Quantification is a major step in the pharmaceutical industry for determining the quantity and quality of a specific Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient in each drug formulation. This step is a major step for commercializing and marketing the drug. Several methods have been developed for the quantification of the drug but the most used are UV and HPLC methods. In this study, we try to review the various quantification methods by UV and HPLC and accomplish that which method is better for the Quantification of Gastroretentive drugs. Gastroretentive drug delivery system is a type of drug which retains for a prolonged time in the Gastrointestinal tract and does not get disintegrated immediately. One type of Gastroretentive drug is Gastroresistant drugs which do not disintegrate regardless of the acidic pH of the stomach but gets absorbed in the surface of the intestines at a basic pH. This is possible because these types of drugs are enteric-coated. Spectrophotometry techniques can be used as an alternative method for HPLC for the quantification of Gastroretentive drugs.

ECG simulator

An electrocardiogram is information of heart signals and activities of an individual measured by electrocardiography using an electrocardiograph machine. Machines tend to have malfunctions, failures, errors, damages, and misuse on usage. Medical equipment cannot be neglected to exist with such factors as it is concerned and connected to the lives of patients. There are several medical errors repetitively ruining several lives every year globally. Therefore, in this case, an ECG Simulator is used to perform calibration and testing over the instruments such as patient monitors and other electrical heart activity recording equipment periodically. To make this viable to every region, we need an economically convincing model. Models: We developed a simulator with basic electronic components for normal sinus rhythm signals generating over 60 and 120 beats per minute. We also developed another simulator that can be loaded with processed ECG arrhythmia signals essential to effectively test any instrument. Result: Both the models produced a promising output as per their configuration respectively.
