Improvisation in rural health using technology

Rural Health is an integral part of the health system in India. The Improvisation In Rural Health Using Technology is the system which is responsible to maintain the health information and its statistics in rural areas. As there are many campaigns hospitals have a various amount of health data on day to day basis. Certain camps are arranged by the government, private hospitals, this system will perform analysis on those data. Such analysis on day to day basis will help to diagnose and find new symptoms amongst the people as well as diseases prone area, henceforth this system will help to the eradication of diseases in rural part. This system allows two type of logins ‘Hospital’ login for every hospital in villages as well as ‘Grampanchayat’ login where data from health campaign gets collected and one authorized user of the village is responsible to upload the data into the system. The charts and reports will be generated by the system after analyzing the data entered into it. These reports will be kept in the database for future analysis. The architecture of the system is like, hospital’s data is maintained on their database side along with its copy is stored at server side for analysis, same happens for Grampanchayat side system. The server is capable of analyzing and processing data, storing reports. This will increase the reliability as well as reduce efforts of manual report generation and analysis.

Smart contention management for the urban traffic management of multidirectional vehicular network

The congestion is rapidly rising across the globe because a larger number of vehicles are adding to the urban traffic every year. The rising numbers of vehicles are elevating traffic problems in the cities, which is causing the slower speeds of vehicular movements across the city roads. In this paper, the proposed model is designed to ease the urban traffic by using the smart traffic management, which is primarily based upon the contention management. The contention management is the model to determine the balanced time slots for the smoother movement of the vehicles across the squares (or light points). The dynamic time slot allocation for the particular direction is entirely based upon the vehicle density assessment mechanism, which provides the information to the time slot allocation algorithm for contention management across the city. This paper evaluates the vehicles moving on the average speed between 1 and 9 KMPH, which imitates the busiest roads of the metro cities and pushes the effort to clear as many as possible vehicles in the lowest possible time using the smart contention mechanism.

Performance of 4-stroke single cylinder diesel engine using SiO2 and TiO2 as Nano additives

An experimental investigation is carried out to establish the performance using silicon dioxide (SiO2) and Titanium dioxide (TiO2) as nanoadditives in diesel, blended with different proportions per unit liter diesel. These nanoparticles are synthesized by high energy ball milling method and characterized by using characterization techniques such as SEM, EDAX, and XRD. The nanoparticles are blended by means of an ultrasonicator to achieve stable suspension. It is observed that the blends are stable which are suitable for the performance test on the compression ignition engine. The fuel properties of Diesel, Diesel + SiO2 Nanoadditive and Diesel + TiO2 Nanoadditive in different proportions have been studied and compared according to ASTM standard test methods for biodiesel. The present work mainly focuses on comparing the different nano particles in different proportions with diesel to improve the performance of compression ignition engine. The acquired data is studied for various parameters to determine the performance of the CI engine. The result shows a considerable enhancement in performance due to the influence of SiO2 and TiO2 nanoadditive addition in diesel.

Application of quality function deployment for design improvement of car rear seat design

Quality function deployment has been widely used to capture the voice of the customer and translate it into technical requirements in the development of products and services. It is a link between product or service development and technical specifications to achieve customer satisfaction. The refinement of restraints for rear seat passengers remains a developing field in automobile safety. Boosters have been shown to significantly reduce abdominal injuries caused by seatbelts. In this paper, an effort is made to use quality function deployment for increasing child safety. An opinion of customers is taken for improving the design of rear seat of a car considering child safety. A house of quality is prepared. Use of the same will be done in designing rear seat of a car.

Modulation of NF-κB – A novel approach for the development of anticancer drugs

Worldwide cancer is the leading cause of death; leukocytes within tumors and at the sites of chronic inflammation provided the first indication of a possible link between inflammation and cancer. Inflammation plays a crucial role at different stages of tumor growth via. transcription factors and inflammatory mediators such as TNF, IL’s, chemokines COX-2, STAT3and NF-κB. Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) has been one of the most extensively investigated transcription factors for its role in cancers. The NF-κB signaling pathways are vital in the initiation and progression of cancer which can act as a node of pharmacological interference in the management of tumor. However, NF-κB is an essential player in the immune response against various cancer developments; hence inhibition of NF-κB seems to be always important in the treatment of various malignancies. The application of an NF-κB inhibitor may prove useful in anticancer therapy by converting anti-apoptosis effect of NF-κB into apoptotic nature. Therefore, current review focuses on the role of NF-κB in Inflammation Induced cancer (IIC) and prospects for developing of a novel treatment for inflammation-related cancer.
