Predicting user behaviour through the sessions of web mining

Nowadays users are concentrate on the complex task-oriented goal such as e-commerce site, making finances, making educational details. User divides the particular task into the number of small tasks and solves the multiple requests at the same time. The search engine keeps the track of queries depends on searched history. By extracting the user sessions from the log files and also sessions are extracted. Server-side log and client-side log are commonly used on the web. The server-side log is automatically generated according to each user request. Client-side logs will capture accurate, comprehensive usage data for usability analysis. The process includes the method of data cleaning, user identification, threshold selection, user profile generation, session identification. The mining is performed according to the frequency of user visiting each page. According to the generated sessions, the user behavior can be analyzed depending on time spent on each page.

Finding healthcare solution for India: A comparative study with USA and UK

Healthcare standard is one of the fundamental indicators of the growth of a nation and a basic requisite for leading the healthy life with dignity and yet it has not been recognized under the right to life in the Constitution of India. In such circumstance the two functions; health care providers and health insurers play a pivotal role. At large, cost of basic health care and insurance to afford health care remains either overlooked or unaffordable for the majority of the population, that is evident from the minimum penetration that the health insurance has achieved in India. The present study attempted to probe into the reason why India remains dismal in terms of providing its citizen a universal health care system and achieving maximum penetration in terms of health insurance. The study begins with a review of the prevalent health care models around the world and the geographies that have successfully implemented universal health care system. An introspect is also made to find whether such best practices can be implemented in the Indian context to put universal health care system in practice. The study concludes with a suggestion that; yes universal health care system is possible in India provided three essential stakeholders start functioning parallelly in coordination with each other under the vigilance of a single regulator.

A hybrid video mining approach for Cancerous polyp detection in endoscopy videos

Video mining on endoscopic videos is a challenging task due to interesting features of unstructured data. This paper presents a new feature descriptor to automatically recognize the images with cancerous polyps in endoscopic videos. This approach uses the features of cancerous polyps, determining polyp as cancerous by one feature descriptor is not possible. To overcome this the work combines two different feature descriptors for much more accurate identification. The two feature descriptors are Complete Local Binary Pattern (CLBP) descriptor and the Global-Local Oriented Edge Magnitude Pattern (Global LOEMP) descriptor. CLBP is used to detect the texture information in the image and the Global LOEMP is used to extract the color features. By combining both feature descriptors a stronger technique can be employed to identify cancerous polyps.

Some studies on sclera vascular pattern recognition

Sclera vein patterns that reside in the human eyes can be one of the biometric for authentication. These vein patterns are stable and unique. Firstly, Segmentation of sclera region along with veins is carried out using otsu Binarization and Contour method. Edge Histogram Descriptor is used for feature extraction of vein patterns. For classification K-nearest Neighbor method is implemented on wide open eye images of the UBIRIS.v1 database.

According to Goleman(1998), 80% of a person’s success in life depends on one’s emotional intelligence and 20% depends on IQ. In the teaching profession, we know the teacher undergoes the stress due to the changes in educational policies, globalization, liberalization, and advances in information technology.
