Evaluating the properties of controlled low-strength material (CLSM) using class c fly ash, GGBFS, PS sand, and quarry dust

A Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) is a highly flowable self-compacting material that is primarily composed of sand, cement, water, and other filler materials. It is principally used as a replacement for soil backfill. The purpose of this project was to optimize the mixture proportions for performance using various fillers such as Quarry Dust and PS Sand, and cementitious materials such as Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS), Fly Ash (FA), and cement. The recycling of these waste materials contributes to construction sustainability. The mixes must possess the consistency, flowability, and strength which is required for CLSM. This was achieved through trial mixing, where the derivation of new mixes was based on the performance of previous pours. To investigate the performance of the mixes derived, tests for flowability and compressive strength were carried out.

A direct digital BPSK modulator using an active balun and buffer technology

Earlier there were many circuits that were made using buffer technologies but no such matter exists which implemented five different buffers in any modulation circuit. The whole work is been divided into 3 basic section which is active balun, a buffer circuit, and complementary switches. 77 The active balun can have relatively less loss than a passive balun. We preferred active balun in the circuit due to its gain characteristics. In our circuit active balun consists of two MOSFETs applied in source and drain. The output obtained in the common source FET will have a phase shift of 1800 with the input and the output obtained in the common gate will have a phase shift of 00 or multiple of 3600. The input signal was passed to each of the tested buffers and the switching conditions were tested on each of them. CMOS, BiCMOS, FET, common collector, and opamp circuits were used for the switching condition and were later added with the active balun for the final result. The main reason for implementing these many signals was to get more accurate and correct results in a shorter period. Based on all the simulations and parameters. In this paper, we have further worked on different buffer technologies that were not included in previous works and have got various parameters to compare them and finally conclude which one is better. Also, we calculated the rise time and fall time of the buffers to compare the spontaneously they give results. Before plotting the graph and comparing different parameters we have taken different cases and at different input values.

Trends in domestic and foreign tourist arrivals in Kerala

Worldwide governments have recognized tourism as a sector with immense potential for economic development and employment generation. Various international agencies like World Tourism Organization (WTO) have pointed out the vast development potential of tourism particularly with reference to developing countries like India. Kerala tourism is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It is famous especially for its eco-tourism initiatives and beautiful backwaters. Growing at a rate of 13.31%, the Kerala tourism industry is one of the major contributors to the economic development of the state. The paper analyses the trend of tourist arrival to Kerala over the past few years and evaluate the revenue generation trend and growth prospects of the industry. Secondary data published by the Kerala tourism department has been analyzed using tools like trend analysis and simple percentage analysis. The published records of Kerala tourism statistics have also been used in the study. The study may throw light on the future prospects of the Kerala tourism industry with respect to tourist arrival and revenue generation.

Automated User Experience Monitor (A.U.X.M)

User experience is a crucial element in any kind of software. If the user cannot easily and satisfactorily use the software, they will not be inclined to use that software. Therefore, testing the user experience of software is important. Conducting usability evaluations can be a tedious matter however since there are several steps involved in setting up even a single usability test. This relates more to scheduling meetings between the test user and the expert evaluator that will conduct the test. Although there are several commercial software that allows designers to “relive”, or observe how users use their software, there are no such products that allow usability testing to be conducted, with the role of an expert evaluator being fulfilled. This paper describes a novel approach, the Automated User Experience Monitor (AUXM) system, where usability testing can be conducted in the absence of an expert evaluator, thus eliminating the issue of setting up meetings between test users, and expert evaluators. It is a system that allows designers/developers to have their user interfaces tested for usability. The designer of the prototype screens is able to feed their designs to the system described in this paper, and then invite any number of users to test the usability of those designs. While the users perform the tasks provided to them by the designer, their emotional feedback, keystrokes, mouse clicks, and verbal utterances are recorded. The recorded data is used by the system to inform the designers what went wrong and suggest how to fix the issues in the designs. Results show that such a system is indeed possible to be implemented, and that usability analysis could be performed much easier using the system than having expert evaluators and test users meet in person. In conclusion, if the proposed approach is developed further, and refined, usability testing could change significantly in the software production industry.

A study the effect of competitive examination on student behavior using statistical methods

We know that there are number of entrance exams like IIT JEE, Civil Services Exam, EAMCET, CAT, AIPMT, UPSC etc. An interesting fact about civil services exam is that it is considered as one of the toughest examination in the world with a success rate is below three percent . Parents who failed to meet their goals in their younger days want to fill that avoid through their child. But mechanism of these exams has both positive and negative effects on the takers. So for the purpose of this study we collect the primary data through systematic Questionaires containg several attributes and analysis is made through using various statistical tools and techniques .our study shows the attributes stress and anxiety is dependent to each other. The proportion of arts students in competitive exam is fourty percent. most of students preparing for competitive exams from arts and science.

To what extent can moneylending practices in the informal credit market be considered economically efficient?

The essay aims to investigate the behaviour of rural credit markets by examining the lending mechanisms used by informal moneylenders. The first section discusses possible explanations for the significantly higher interest rates charged on loans to the poor and concludes that a combination of informational asymmetries and default incentives contribute to higher costs for lenders, a significant amount of which gets passed on to the borrowers. The following sections model the behaviour of the informal moneylending market and examine whether practices used by moneylenders to cope with the distortions in the credit market make a net contribution to economic welfare. The mechanism of credit rationing is explored as a tool for the moneylender to secure himself against strategic default and thus, precluding optimal consumer and producer surplus in the market. Similarly, the common practice of interlinkage is modelled theoretically to demonstrate its effectiveness in allowing borrowers to demand the optimal loan size thereby also maximizing lenders profit and ensuring optimal community surplus.
