The attitude of university students towards co-curricular activity: A comparative study

Each and every education process is forwarded following a particular curriculum which is one of the most vital aspects of the education system. Besides curricular activities, co-curricular activities are equally important for the smooth conduction of the teaching-learning process as well as for the all-round development of the learners. In this present study, the researchers have tried to measure the attitude of the university students towards co-curricular activities. The attitude of students (Male and Female) of different streams (Science, Arts, and Commerce) of Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia residing in both rural and urban areas is the primal focus of this present study. 449 students from different streams of Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University have been randomly chosen as the sample of the study. A self-made questionnaire with 45 items has been used for the data collection. The result of the study reveals that rural students are more positive in their attitude towards co-curricular activities than urban students. But in terms of gender, no difference is found in the attitude of the students. And among the streams, art students show relatively more positive attitude than the students of science and commerce.

From the very prehistoric stage of the civilization of mankind, man has realized the indispensability of food for the building up of a healthy body and a sound mind. He is able to notice that people who are well-fed live longer and are stronger and they are able to do more work than those who do not have enough to eat. Yet it is only during the last 150 years that we are able to understand objectively and scientifically the important role that food plays in our daily life. Thanks to the recent scientific investigations that we are able to know clearly, the place of food in the growth of the human body, as well as in ending the body with energy.

The role of community radio stations in combating covid-19 in India

This article focuses on how Community Radio Stations (CRSs) had helped the underprivileged communities during the amid COVID-19 pandemic. By citing various news articles published during the time of COVID- 19 by various newspapers, magazines, and journals, this article tries to explore the problems of people particularly those people who belong to the lower-income strata of the society. Also, it is shown that how community radios from different parts of India have helped them to get through the tough phase of the lockdown. Community Radio Stations from different parts of India had helped to spread awareness amongst the masses and also have addressed various issues of society. This article tries to explore, how those CRSs have managed to do address those issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Effect of spaced learning for developing the listening skill of attention deficit hyperactive students

Spaced learning is an innovative teaching-learning process. The main objective of this study was to test the effect of spaced learning for enhancing the listening skill of attention deficit hyperactive students. Four students were selected as the sample from the primary grade of Kerala state syllabus school. An experimental procedure was adopted for the study. Listening skill test and lesson transcripts based on spaced learning were used as the tools for the study. The obtained data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. The major findings of the study were that spaced learning is an effective strategy for enhancing the listening skill of attention deficit hyperactive students at the primary grade

Translating bidri craft to interiors

The national design policy of India encourages the active involvement of designers from various fields in the development of traditional and local crafts and designs. The strategy is to create a platform for creative design development. This research constitutes the same as an interior designer, or an architect can engage and create a craft-based design environment that can strengthen and generate opportunities for both the domains by recognizing Indian crafts and artisans in multi-dimensions. Through this paper, the intent is to emphasize the implementation of craft culture in interior architecture to enhance the culturally sustainable environment. It concludes with the possibilities of the impact of such models.

A History of Two Cities: The Literature of Cairo and Istanbul

This paper is an effort to find out about both cities, Cairo in the Arab world and Istanbul's historical heritage, literature, and cultural horizons. Cairo and Istanbul are as ancient as Arab and Turkish ties are deeply rooted, perhaps even more so. In the Ottoman Empire, the Arabic language received significant attention from the Turks in the past and before the declaration of the Turkish Republic. In terms of the number of old Masjids and other ancient Islamic architectural sites, Cairo and Istanbul have a common history. During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, almost all of the historical sites, whether in Cairo or Istanbul, were supervised by the same sultans. However, culturally and historically, each city has its own characteristics. Though Cairo is Arab and Istanbul is not, both have many things in common in terms of civilization, culture, and history. This paper sheds light on the key issues discussed in both cities by Arab and Turkish literature.
