Placement of UPFC in power system to improve the power system performance

The FACTS known as flexible ac transmission systems devices are solid state converters designed on voltage source converter and now the approach of engineers towards planning and operations of power systems by the implementation of FACTS devices. In this thesis work, UPFC FACTS controller models have been developed to reduce transmission losses and to improve voltage profile with power flow algorithm and models have been linearised by Newton’s method using a minimum of iterative steps. This paper describes the implementation of the UPFC Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices optimally locate in IEEE 14 bus system for power flow analysis to reduce the transmission losses and improve the voltage profile. In this thesis, UPFC is placed at every load bus at every transmission line to obtain the result of minimum power losses and minimum voltage deviation.

Effective marketing with digital channel: An experimental study

In the E-age, the old traditional way of product promotion is obsolete. One of the best effective online marketing. This has taken over the traditional advertising style of marketing. Various digital channels including social media, blogs, etc from being means of entrainment, now have become an active platform for product marketing. Our work aids amateur & startup people to get into the digital form of marketing. They can do better business getting more customers, fast & systematic with less expense.

On road object detection using image processing

Object detection involves detecting the instances of objects from a particular class in the image. The goal of object detection is to detect all instances of objects from known class, such as people, cars or faces in an image. Object detection using haar feature based cascade classifier is an effective object detection method. It is a machine learning based approach where a cascade function is trained from lots of positive and negative images. It is used to detect the objects in other images. In this work, we propose a new application for on-road moving object detection in the goal to participate in reducing the big number of road accidents. Road moving object detection in traffic video is a difficult task. Hence, in this work, we present a system in order to control the outside car risks by detecting the different road moving objects. Experimental results indicate that suggested method object detection can be achieved with a high detection ratio.

Transistors recommendation system

The Transistors recommendation system helps learners make choices without sufficient personal experience transistors datasheet. In our research, the user-based and the main recommendation algorithm combined with Datasheets for all selective transistors. We analyzed the concern of the recommendation system and also an architecture is proposed, based on which improvements can be achieved. In this architecture, there are seven modules are presented. The crucial aim of this research paper is to perceive the basis of a recommendation system that will assist students in culling the best transistors for their respective work.

Artificial Neural Network architecture and hardware Chip Implementation using VHDL

Artificial neural networks are extended on the basis of brain structure. Like the brain, ANNs can recognize patterns, handle facts and figures and be trained. They are prepared by artificial neurons which employ the quintessence of genetic neurons. In the research work, we have considered the 8 inputs ANN signal which is multiplied with their corresponding weights. The hardware chip is designed to support the system functionality in Xilinx ISE 14.2 software. The designed chip is simulated with Modelsim 10.0 software for test cases. The designed chip is also synthesized on SPARTAN-3E FPGA using VHDL programming and device hardware and timing parameters are also analyzed for the functionality of the chip. Keywords: Artificial Neural Network (ANN), FPGA, Xilinx ISE software

Distributed Ledger Technology based data minimization of digital identities

The avatars can be created and managed by a prime identity and can be used by an individual in a self-sovereign way to provide access to their information through the method of minimization or to cast the usage of the data and the statistical or marketing use of the same. User has the choice of sharing minimum attributes required for KYC purpose based on different avatars of the Blockchain, also track the flow of data through various concerned agencies.
