Assessing of Place- making aspects in beach precinct: Case of Vishakhapatnam

Placemaking is process of creating “people-oriented” places by enriching urban life experiences in public places. One of the aspects of place making is to provide place identity, which is mainly determined by the “sense of place” experienced by users. The study is aimed at investigating place- making approach in an urban public space. It does so by exploring connections between the human experience, aspirations and the physical dimension of space by onsite phenomenological research of criteria for successful places established by Project for Public Places and urban design qualities for improved liveability. A primary case study concentrating on R.K beach precinct in Vishakhapatnam has been demonstrated to analyse the ways in which people use, value and relate to this public beach. The analysis of study revealed factors that contribute to everyday experiences of spaces of built and unbuilt environment as key components of experience of quality in public realm.

Development of sandwich panels combining aluminium powder-cement composites lightweight concrete

The heavy dead weights of concrete structures are posing a headache for the structural engineers to design the various members much complicated to take its own weight. The present investigations are carried out to develop a simple, lightweight and cost-effective technology for replacing the existing wall systems. In this paper, we have used the materials Portland pozzolana cement (PPC) is matrix materials and the reinforcing materials is aluminum powder, bamboo natural fiber. The methodology of this paper is a sand casting process used to produces the composite plate or bars. The composition of reinforced samples is Lightweight Concrete (LC) mixes were prepared with 0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 1.25%, 1.5%, 1.75%, 2%, of foaming agent by weight of cement In this paper we are tested in deflection behavior, tensile test and compressive test.

Fuzzy Z-precontinuous functions in fuzzy topological space

In this paper, we introduce the classical form of Z-continuous functions under the fuzzy setting in the name of “Fuzzy Z-Precontinuous functions in Fuzzy Topological Spaces”. A weaker form of fuzzy Z-continuous function, called fuzzy Z-precontinuous function is introduced and its properties and characterizations are discussed.

Formulation of a class of solvable standard cubic congruence of even composite modulus

In this paper, a class of solvable standard cubic congruence of composite modulus is formulated. A formula for solutions is established and found true by solving some examples. It is also found that the congruence has exactly three solutions. Establishment of the formula for the solutions is the merit of the paper. It is needless to use Chinese Remainder Theorem. The formulation is the alternative of CRT which gives solutions directly in a short time.

Fabrication of Jute–Pine Apple leaf reinforced hybrid composites: Validation of mechanical properties through ANSYS

There is a huge need for new materials in all fields of engineering, this invites the development of new ¬materials which suits the need. Utilization of biodegradable materials i.e. natural fibers for various applications to preserve the environment from synthetic fibres invites the development of natural fiber reinforced polyester composites. In a country like India which is producing an enormous amount of agricultural solid waste (in the form of leaf, fruits, stems etc.) there is lack of marketing for the above-said wastes if this can be improved the farmers may get benefited. Natural fiber reinforced composites are preferred than conventional materials because of their advantages like low density, lightweight, high strength to weight ratio, low cost, high toughness, and biodegradability. The present investigation deals with the preparation of jute, pineapple leaf fiber and jute-pineapple leaf fiber (Hybrid) reinforced polyester composite and to determine the tensile, flexural and impact properties with increase in percentage weight fraction of the fiber and to compare the properties of the composites. Further, the experimental results will be validated through ANSYS software.

Performance analysis of EPMS and EAPMS routing protocol in WSN

Routing in a wireless sensor network is a key challenge. The appropriate routing is done in WSN by using swarm intelligence approach. Various swarm intelligence techniques are available like ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, artificial bee colony optimization etc. But the hybrid approach of ACO and PSO is a promising one. the PSO is used to enhance the attributes in the ACO, which define that the selection of parameter doesn’t depend on artificial experience, but relies on the robust search on the particles in the PSO. We also used an enhance utilization of ACO, by this technique we have found the shortest path or routes of ants. The output of the experiment shows that the optimize algorithm not only reduce the number of paths in the ACO but also finding the shortest path at the place of the largest path. The simulation result shows that the combination of ACO-PSO performs better than Energy Efficient PSO in terms of dead nodes, alive nodes, and throughput of the network.
