Assessment of noise pollution in Raipur city of Chhattisgarh, India

In developing countries like India Assessment of Noise pollution is an important task. Noise pollution adversely affects the health of human beings. The most important noises sources of noise are road traffic, aircraft, railways and industries, noise in the community from industrial and construction site and noise at home. Road traffic is by far the largest of these, and accounts for about 78 per cent of noise annoyance. In India, vehicular traffic is increasing rapidly, which has given birth to overcrowded roads and noise pollution. This study is primarily focusing on the monitoring of noise pollution at different places of Raipur City. In this study, noise monitoring was carried out with the help of sound level meter model (VA8080). Some important places of Raipur have been selected for noise level study purpose. All the places are categorized under different zones i.e. commercial zone, silent zone, industrial zone, and residential zone. All data were collected between 07:00 am to 09:00 p.m. Every hour the noise levels have been measured. To make the noise level more accurate each reading were taken in a gap of 6 minutes, that is, 10 readings per hour. And the average of the readings was taken as per hour sound intensity level. The study period of the survey was 15 days. Therefore this study reveals that the noise levels are higher than the standard level foe each zones.

Data security in cloud computing

Cloud computing is a globalized concept and there are no borders within the cloud. Computers used to process and store user data can be located anywhere on the globe, depending on where the capacities that are required are available in the global computer networks used for cloud computing. Because of the attractive features of cloud computing, many organizations are using cloud storage for storing their critical information. The data can be stored remotely in the cloud by the users and can be accessed using thin clients as and when required. One of the major issue in the cloud today is data security in cloud computing. Storage of data in the cloud can be risky because of use of the Internet by cloud-based services which means less control over the stored data. One of the major concern in the cloud is how do we grab all the been ts of the cloud while maintaining security controls over the organizations' assets. Our aim is to propose a more reliable, decentralized lightweight key management technique for cloud systems which provides more e client data security and key management in cloud systems. Our proposed technique provides better security against Byzantine failure, server colluding and data modi cation attacks. Financial inclusion of the Government through banking institutions particularly to empower rural/tribal women in India is endowed to focus upon such households which are left out in terms of employment avenues. However, rural/tribal unemployed women who have entrepreneurial capabilities, but are unable to pursue starting a business due to the shortage of financial sources, can avail financial support and succeed in the process of socio-economic development by generating employment avenues for their families. Keeping motive of microfinance for SHGs in mind, an attempt has been made to analyze to what extent; microfinance has proved instrumental in empowering tribal women of Himachal Pradesh.

Performance of green banking and its effects on economy in Bangladesh

Green banking has become a buzzword in the banking arena in Bangladesh and all over the world in recent times. Green banking is defined as an 'eco-friendly socially responsible banking' which not only plays the role of financing intermediary but also works on achieving objectives towards a healthy environment for the present generation and future generation as well. We live in a competitive world where everything is relative. Everybody wants to be better than others and one’s activities sometimes cause environmental change and damage. So to save environment Green banking is a part of a green initiative taken by banks. Environmentally friendly policies can be applied so that green bank can grow in every sector of its activities without changing its main banking functions. It can also augment the goodwill of the institute and promote a 'green and social consciousness image' in the society. Although this theme has been implemented in several developed countries promoting the slogan 'Be green, Go green', it is a very useful starting point for developing countries like Bangladesh to follow. This paper observes the existing practices of green banking in Bangladesh and has made an endeavor to highlight systems, opportunities, difficulties, and advantages of green banking policies. In this study, secondary data from Bangladesh Bank Reports and other commercial bank reports have been used. These Results show that the 'Bangladesh Bank', formulated policies, strategies and allocated budgets to commercial banks with respect to green initiatives. Special packages for green projects can eliminate the present problems and can help to face the challenges and consequently accelerate green banking activities.
