E-leave android application for employee leave management

The main objective of the proposed system is to decrease the paperwork, employees find it difficult to apply for leaves and vacations, especially those that have tasks that require a specific number of people to operate which is a very complicated process and to avoid the collision of dates with other employees under the same department. Proposed system will help in easier record keeping by having a centralized database system where data will be maintained. The system will keep the records, decrease paperwork and reduce chances of data loss. The system will allow employees and their managers to manage leaves and replacements for better scheduling of workload. Android E-Leave Application is an employee leave management system that keeps leave records of all the employees in organization. This system will provide a connection between the user and the database hence enabling quick retrieval of the leave information without any intervention from the human resource manager. In this system employees can apply for leave from their android smartphone and can also track the applied leave status in real-time.

Uniform Civil Code and its impact on social and cultural transformation in India – An Analysis

Differences may be in any form say for in society, in language, in culture, in science, in technology, in law, etc. but altogether we joined in a single phenomenon is life existence. Even after attaining existence, we searched for the needs to be fulfilled at different levels. Then, our conscience naturally will search for the wants to attain the most extent possible. By narrowing down the wants and needs, it has become unique for every human and multiplied into thousands and millions of desires to fulfilled in a unique manner. Thus they formed different identities in culture and tradition. This inquiry made humans in searching the supernatural beings and started worshipping in their own way by practicing rites and rituals. This social and cultural transformation made the entire world get fragmented with a different ideology which made one accept only their own ideology and not accept the other ideologies. So, there is in need for the law to overrule these differences and to attain similarities to establish social order.

Ner Varmam and its Anatomical Structures -Literature review

Background: Varmam maruthuvam specifically deals with the regulation of energy flow within the body by provocation of certain points. Padu Varmam points are 12 in number. They are claimed to be interacting points between internal organs and the central nervous system. Hence Padu Varmam is considered as “Life Energy Centers”. The exact location, literature review and Anatomical Locations of these Varmam are yet to be documented. Objective: To identify the various literature evidence for the ner varmam (one of the padu varmam) andappropriate anatomical location of this Padu Varmam points and to document the above data. Methodology: Classical Siddha Literature like Varma Soothirangal by R.C. Mohan; Varma Vignanam by Dr. Michel etc.; and anatomy texts like Cunnigham’s book of practical anatomy, Netler’s Anatomy, etc.; were reviewed and the collected data was compared and documented. Results: The correct anatomical locations of the Padu Varmam points were more or less derived. The above data can be used for correct handling of Padu Varmam. This may be stepping stone for standardization of Padu Varmam.

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations

It is possible by the categorization of the estimated levels of Individual Risk (IR) which the proposed site would impose upon them. An analysis of the consequences and likelihood of credible accident scenarios coupled with acceptable risk criteria is then undertaken. According to the results in many cases, not only required distances have not been provided but also CNG stations are commonly located in vicinity of populated areas to facilitate refuelling operations. Natural gas is in priority because of the relative abundance, ease of use, less environmental pollution, and the price is cheaper than gasoline. This study was done to identify and determine the operational deviations in one of the CNG gas compressors and proposed hazard control measures. Identification of possible causes of deviations in compressor performance and risk assessment was done in several meeting with cast HAZOP experienced experts. Seven operational deviations identified in the performance of the compressor used in CNG station includes no & less flow, more & less pressure, presence of compounds other than gas in compressor, reverse flow and more temperature. 41.34% of the risks were in acceptable range, and 58.66% was in conditionally acceptable. Prepare work instructions, worker education, fix and maintenance and regularly equipment calibration can be useful in prevention of accidents in CNG stations.

Design and analysis of robot for Industrial Application

Basically, robots are designed in such way that they remove human intervention from labour intensive and hazardous work environment, sometimes they are also used to explore inaccessible work places which are generally impossible to access by humans. The coating of internal pipes comes in same category because they carry toxic chemicals, fluids and most of the time has small internal diameter or bends which become inaccessible to human. The complex internal geometry and hazard content constraints of pipes demand robots for coating of such pipes to prevent corrosion level of pipe, recovery of usable parts from pipe interior, sampling of sludge and scale formation on pipe internal surface etc. Several designs of In-pipe coating robots (IPCR) have been proposed in the literature to solve the problems related with of these complicated coating of internal geometries. Designing of an in pipe coating robot (IPCR) is a difficult task and hence the designer must take care of the design issues like Mobility, Steer ability,, Size and shape adaptability, Online adaptability, Flexibility, Stability, Autonomous operation and obstacle avoidance, Efficiency at uneven surface, Safe operation, Material selection, Type of task to be performed inside the pipe, Number of actuators, Operation in active pipe line, Retrieval of robot, User friendly navigation and control system, Range of operation, Quantitative analysis of defects inside the pipe. Based on above, research work presents investigations into design issues pertaining to development of In-pipe coating robotics and proposes a new model of an In-pipe coating robot to overcome some critical design issues. This proposed model is a screw driver type wall press adaptable wheeled In-pipe coating robot. It can move through vertical, horizontal pipes and it can easily pass through elbow of a pipe.
