Online Medicine Donation Portal

The aim and object of this project are to prepare an online portal for the collection of unused medicines so that they can be given to the people who are in need. What this project will do is, collect the unused medicines from the people who have completely recovered from the illness and do not require the medicines anymore. After the collection of these medicines, they would be handed over to the NGO's which would check the medicines and then if approved will be given to the people directly or to the hospitals who will be giving out these medicines for free. There must be a log in for the User, NGO, admin. Admin can see all details of user donated medicine.

A case study: Design and assessment of 1.5kW/day rooftop solar PV system

In this paper designing, the performance of rooftop solar PV systems is presented. To acquire power from solar PV panels in the case of a rooftop PV system involves a proper selection, design, and determination with the specification of various components that are used in the system. This paper presents an update on a case study undertaken on a rooftop PV system situated in a rural area near a major city Meerut, India. This case study also includes a Life cycle assessment of the rooftop PV system considering the inflation rate and discount rate.

A study on the level of awareness of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students at the University of Tripoli on the myths and facts on Corona Virus (COVID – 19)

The study aimed to determine the level of awareness of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Students at the University of Tripoli on the myths & facts on coronavirus (COVID – 19). Specifically, this study answered the following questions: 1)What are the Students’ Demographic profile in terms of Gender and Age? 2) What are the Students’ level of awareness of the myths & facts on coronavirus (COVID-19)? 3) Based on the results of the study, what measures can be formulated to increase the level of awareness of the students on coronavirus (COVID-19). The findings that the researcher was able to extract from the study were: 1) the frequency and percentage of the student’s demographic profile in terms of Gender, shows that female are mostly dominant which is 53 or 66.25% while the male is 27 or 33.75%. In terms of Age, where mostly belongs to the category of 21-23 years of age with 38 respondents or 47.5%, 18-20 years of age, 37 or 46.25% and 24-26 which is 5 or 6.25%.2) the results of the frequency and percentage of the Student’s level of awareness on the Facts and Myths of COVID-19 reveals that mostly 81.40% are aware of the facts on COVID-19, 16.71% are unaware and 1.87% are undecided. Predominantly, 50.20% of students answered “YES” on Myths on COVID-19 making them unaware of the Myths, 46.04% are aware and 3.75% are undecided 3) The measures that could be formulated to increase the level of awareness of the students are to conduct information dissemination campaign through symposiums, research forums and the use of IEC materials. Based on these findings, the researcher was able to conclude that the University of Tripoli - Faculty of Nursing are aware of the FACTS on COVID-19, however, it is worthwhile to note that misconceptions are high on the MYTHS aspect thus there is really an urgent need to correct these misconceptions so as to contribute on measures to end this pandemic.

Crop guidance and farmer’s friend

Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58% of India’s population. It is very difficult for mute and deaf people to communicate. This paper proposes a model to overcome these barriers and allow everyone to interact with each other irrespective of their disabilities and facilitates deaf, dumb, and normal people to communicate with each other through messaging and video calling.

Ultracapacitor circuit for solar E-vehicle

This paper proposes a new system for the storage of energy that can be used in solar e-vehicles, e-vehicles, and hybrid e-automobile. Supercapacitors are charge storage devices that look similar to batteries, have a low energy density, high power density, and exceptional life cycle. Though they have less energy capacity than the state-of-the-art batteries, however, they are able to deliver 10-100 times more powerful than the li-ion batteries. Unlike other conventional systems, this system uses just a portion of the vehicle power via a DC-DC converter. This concept is new and reduces the converter losses, helps in the complete utilization of stored energy in storage units, and gives stable DC bus voltage irrespective of the operating situations and conditions. In the proposed system a controller is added between the solar panel setup and the battery to improve performance. The aim is for a simple yet feasible way to extract and store the energy from a PV source. Here we are using buck-boost converters, i.e. SEPIC (Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter) converters which allows potential at the output to be varied as per requirement. In battery and supercapacitor circuits both energy is stored, but in the battery, chemistry is changed when it is discharged, which is not so in the case of this system.

Cooperative spectrum sharing and maximization of throughput using cognitive radio

Cognitive radio is an intelligent radio which can be programmed and configured dynamically. It is widely used in spectrum sensing, spectrum sharing, environment sensing, etc. In this paper, we employ cognitive radio to harvest energy during packet transmissions using energy techniques. Energy harvesting involves two cooperation nodes: Energy cooperation mode and joint cooperation mode. In each cooperation mode, a pair of Primary Users(PUs), a pair of Secondary Users(SUs), and a cognitive radio network are used. In energy cooperation mode, secondary users transmit their own packets by harvesting energy from the primary transmission. In joint cooperation mode, Secondary users act as a relay for primary packets by using the energy harvested from the primary transmission. Further, we obtain maximum throughput by achieving a balance between energy harvesting and packet transmission.
